At the end of every university year, and the final examinations, the students come out through the gates and give away all their pens, erasers and paper etc to the waiting public. Many NGO’s are present hoping to get some free writing materials for their children. There’s also a host of onlookers, clowns, people on stilts and the inevitable hamburger and ice cream stands. A happy, noisy affair over looked by the city police.
