The town square, Trujillo
Every Friday evening, just off the pedestrian area leading from the town square, the NGO I was working with would serve a hot meal to the needy. The people always waited patiently in line until it was their turn to receive a plate of food and something to drink, but you could tell by their utter concentration on what was being dished out that they hadn’t eaten for days.
